Welcome to Haggar Cafe, a delightful gem nestled within the vibrant university community of Irving, TX. This cafe is not just any average cafeteria; it serves a diverse array of delicious, wholesome meals that cater to a variety of dietary preferences, making it an ideal spot for students and faculty alike.

Haggar Cafe offers a refreshing selection of options, including gluten-free choices, crisp salads, comforting soups, and flavorful wraps. For those craving something heartier, the grill has popular main dishes like tender salmon and flaky tilapia, which receive high praise from patrons like David Hoffmann, who appreciates the selection and value. It's wise to time your visit perfectly, though; to avoid slim pickings, arriving around 1:30 PM ensures that you can indulge in the best offerings of the day.

The friendly ambiance here is a significant draw, and many regulars have noted the warmth of the staff. As Paul Borchard shared, bringing a group is worry-free, thanks to their ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and their willingness to answer questions. You’ll not only eat well but also feel at home as you enjoy your meal. James McDonald echoed this sentiment, touting the cafe's superiority over standard university cafeteria fare, highlighting both the cleanliness of the environment and the appealing prices.

Every visit is an opportunity to rediscover flavors, whether by enjoying the all-you-can-eat buffet style, sampling from the sandwich station, or taking a seat outside on the patio to savor breakfast foods. Mark Venincasa described the open atmosphere as perfect for both relaxation and mingling, making it a vibrant hub on campus.

Don't miss out on special culinary days, such as the coveted Chicken Fried Steak served at noon on Wednesdays—a hit that Joe Valentine passionately recommends. While opportunities can arise for delays in service, the overall experience remains enjoyable thanks to the quality of the food and the friendly demeanor of the staff, reminding patrons like Sarah Evans of the familial environment cultivated here.

In conclusion, Haggar Cafe is more than just a dining option; it's an experience that bonds the university community through food. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite between classes or dining with friends, this cafe promises fresh, delectable meals served in an inviting setting. So come by, explore the menu, and become a part of the Haggar Cafe family—your next satisfying meal awaits!

Good variety of choices. Gluten free, salad, soups, and wraps. Typically, find a nice main dish...salmon, tilapia are things I frequently select Timing is important. When they rotate the food choices are slim. I have definitely learned to get to lunch by 1:30 at the latest.

Sean is always easy to work with and I never have to worry about anything when I bring a group here. They are great at accommodating dietary restrictions and will answer questions whenever you ask. It may be "just a cafeteria" but the people are friendly and I don't have to cook.

Far better than regular university cafeteria food at a great price and nice, clean atmosphere. I couldn't ask for more in a university setting.

Awesome food i recommend going at 12 on a Wednesday, that is when they serve Chicken Fried Steak. Very great customer service. Sometimes the manager is a little angry at his workers and he visibly shows it which is a little awkward but hey i guess thats life.

Great customer service. The Caf staff really treat you like family. The food options are best during weekday lunches. If you go at a time in the middle of a class period, check out Juan the Sandwich Man. His line should be about as short as it’ll get. Ask for a special and you won’t be disappointed. Dinner options are usually okay. However, I don’t recommend going on the weekends. The people are great but there aren’t as many people working, so there are few options.

Buffet style, sandwiches, breakfast foods, salads, dinner plates, all-you-can-eat. Good food. Open atmosphere. Some outdoor seating. Associated with the University of Dallas, and on campus.

It is pretty good food, and a lot of fun if you get creative.
